Ladies and Gentlemen, I am pleased to announce the imminent arrival of the long-awaited issue #19 of Gearhead Magazine! It has taken me almost an entire year to get to this point: GEARHEAD is ready to go to print! I imagine this is very much what giving birth is like. Not that I’ve actually done that, but the creative process is similar. Once I decided I was really gonna do this, I had to get my mind and body on the same page. Since I was starting from scratch, and I’ve never actually put a magazine together, months of planning was followed by months of writing and organizing. Finally, the big day came when I knew I was almost ready but the final piece, the financial aspect, had to be dealt with.! Which brings me to this moment: I need your help bringing this baby into the world! Kickstarter To the Rescue! Yes, I’ve launched a Kickstarter Campaign to raise the necessary money to print GEARHEAD. There’s a ton of cool gifts in exchange for your support. First off, this is the only way right now you can reserve a copy of the magazine, which will be a limited edition print run of 2500. Secondly, there are some other cool gifts from some of our friends: a spooky Monster T Shirt from Pheck, and some wicked cool sunglasses from Tres Noir. Browse through the different levels of support; there is sure to be one right for you! Of course the trick with Kickstarter is you have to reach your goal, or you don’t get anything, so please help any way you can, even if it’s just clicking the “share” button on the page and letting your friends know. We have until Dec. 2, 2015 to raise the money, and once we do, this bad boy is heading off to the printers with a goal of being in your mailbox by Christmas! What’s in the new magazine? Click here to read a list of the contents! There are even a few sneak pictures there. I don’t want to reveal too much since I want it to be a surprise, but hopefully it’s enough to whet your appetite and pledge your support! Speaking of contents, you can still buy several of the back issues of Gearhead, but for those of you who never saw the magazine before and dig digital technology, two out of print issues are now available for digital download! It’s a great way to take the magazine with you, much as you would your favorite Gearhead band! Which brings me to the final big piece of news: The Lords of Altamont are heading out on their first US tour in almost ten years, supporting the Rev. Horton Heat. Click here for the dates, and if they’re coming to your city, GO! They put on a great show, and who knows when they’ll decide to do this again?! Thank you all for your continued support. To finally be at this point with the rebirth of Gearhead means a lot to me. I’m delighted and scared and nervous. I can’t wait to hold the finished magazine in my hands and breathe in that inky goodness. I hope you’re thinking the same thing and will go reserve a copy today! Keepin’ the rubber on the road, xo Rev. Michelle Some People Like to Rock! Some People Like to Roll! But movin’ and a groovin’ Gonna satisfy my soul, Let’s have a party Ooooh, Let’s have a party! -Wanda Jackson The legendary California heat of this summer is nothing compared to the heat being generated here at Gearhead. The magazine is in full production now, more on that shortly, but first let’s talk about parties. There’s lots of reason to celebrate these days. The dark painful past is behind me now and all sorts of fantastic milestones are on the horizon. 2015 is a time to commemorate it all. As you know, Gearhead® was started back in 1993 and I came on board in 2000 to launch the record label. That was fifteen years ago, yet it seems like it was only yesterday. It’s been a long time since I threw a party and it’s about damn time to do one, so drum roll please, SAVE THE DATE!! Saturday Sept 26, 2015, I’m throwing a party to celebrate my fifteen years with Gearhead! It will be hosted at The Blue Lamp, 1400 Alhambra Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95816. Starting at 6 pm with a Blessing of The Cars (I am a minister after all), bring anything with wheels to the front of the Blue Lamp for an informal, non-denominational blessing. Afterwards, the first band, Sacramento’s The Moans, featuring The Secretions own Danny Secretion will kick things off, followed by the rockin’ sounds of The White Barons (have you bought their new album yet?) The legendary Pat Todd of The Lazy Cowgirls will crank things up further with an appearance from his Rankoutsiders and topping the evening off Gearhead is pleased to announce psychobilly hell-cats Thee Merry Widows!! They have officially joined the Gearhead roster and you can buy their first two records now on Itunes. I’ll have more great news to announce about them later this year, but I’ll let you in on a little secret, there’s a new record in the works. During intermission, there will be a Ms. Gearhead contest, with all the proceeds going to the local SPCA. Girls come dressed up with your best Gearhead gear and compete for a chance to be featured in an upcoming issue of Gearhead. No party is complete without good food, right? There will be food trucks, plus goody bags for the first fifty customers through the door. I’m so excited to see all my friends in one place having a good time, so you do not want to miss out on this! Tickets are $10 at the door, but you can save a couple bucks by buying them in advance now. This is also the official relaunch of Gearfest too, the last one being almost thirteen years ago so yet one more reason to make sure you don’t miss this party! If an anniversary and a new band weren’t reason enough to celebrate, how about the release of the long awaited issue number 19 of Gearhead Magazine? After months of writing and collecting stories, the release is scheduled for late summer but you can still be part of this legendary relaunch by advertising with Gearhead If you have a cool product or shop you want to advertise, contact me ASAP to nail down an ad for this sure to be sold out edition. If it sounds like I’m bouncing all over the road with enthusiasm it’s because I am. It feels great to be back again, and Gearhead is back with a vengeance. Lots of the classic Gearhead shirts are back in stock now, thanks to those of you who supported the What The Fuck is Gearhead? fundraiser campaign. We made our goal and the shirts should have already arrived in your mailbox. They look great; it brings a chuckle to my lips every time I look at it. I’ve also put a bunch of specially priced collections of cds, posters and stickers together on EBay for those of you not familiar with the Gearhead Brand. And for those of you who are, its a great way to fill in some holes in your Gearhead collection at a low price. On a more sober note, my heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Steve Rodriguez, bass player for the legendary Dragons who passed away suddenly July 21, 2015. He was a bright spark of love, warmth and humor in this tumultuous business that sometimes causes people to forget we’re all just human. Steve was always the guy who could rock with the best of them, and then just as suddenly, turn around and give you a hug, just because he was happy and loving life. The years I worked with Steve and The Dragons were some of the best of my life and I will cherish my memories of this fabulous man and the great music he helped create. My heart broke when they called it quits and now it’s broken once again. RIP Steve, you will be deeply missed. RLF. I’ve written some further thoughts and shared some pictures in the News Section on the Gearhead website. There will be a memorial concert Sunday Aug. 2, 2015 at The Casbah in San Diego. Check out the facebook event page for more information. There is also a Go Fund Me account set up in Steve’s memory. Please donate! The proceeds will be put towards expenses as well as a college fund for his son. People have asked about their records, so I’ve put together several special packages of Dragons Merch for sale. All proceeds from the sales will go to the Go Fund Me account. If you love the Dragons, turn your friends and family onto this exceptional band; you’re doing a good thing while you’re at it. Until the next newsletter, you can stay on top of all goings-on by following Gearhead on Facebook, Instagram, You Tube, Twitter, and now Pinterest and Soundcloud. Much love, The Rock ‘n’ Roll Rev. Michelle
With Stammering Lips and insufficient sounds, I strive and struggle to deliver right,
The music of my nature… -Elizabeth Barrett Browning The weather has turned warm, which in California signals the beginning of car shows and swap meets. As anyone who is self-employed knows, you have to get out there and sell yourself and your wares if you want to make a living. I’ve been hitting various car shows, most recently Viva Las Vegas, where I had a fabulous time supporting the Sacramento based hair pomade company Cock Grease, as well as handing out free copies of Gearhead Magazine and stickers. A few days before that, I set up shop at the 4th Annual Beard Contest, held at the historic California Railroad Museum. The event was a fund-raiser for the Front Street Animal Shelter, a cause dear to my heart. The end of May I head to Santa Maria to sell at the West Coast Kustoms Cruisin’ Nationals, a car show now in its 34th year! And then in June it’s up to Portland to take part in the Rose City Round Up Car Show. It’s been a lot tougher than I thought getting the wheels rolling again with Gearhead®. You simply don’t disappear for 5 or 6 years and expect the market place and consumers to know the brand any more. Things change so quickly in this short attention span world. Once all you had to do was mention Gearhead in a bar or club or at a car show and everyone knew the bold checkered flag logo and the quirky reputation of its owners. Now that I’ve decided to crank up all things Gearhead again, I have to get out and meet people face to face. It’s the people that make having a business like Gearhead fun, as well as profitable. But so much of todays’ business is done by computer and emails that grabbing any opportunity to get out of the office and talk to people is a must. I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed vending. It’s great swapping stories with people stopping by the booth, sharing information and learning new stuff. I’d also forgotten how exhausting can be. There are lots of you who I’ll never meet, or get a chance to talk to directly, so that’s why this newsletter is so important. It’s still the best way to get the word out when personal interaction isn’t possible. As I mentioned in the last newsletter, I’m in the middle of writing the content for the new magazine. To do that, I am trying to make a living selling the t-shirts, music and magazines that makes up the Gearhead® brand. If I don’t sell stuff, I don’t get paid, simple as that. I find myself slipping into old patterns of worrying about how to keep this business going. Everyone says once a new issue of the magazine comes out, it will be much easier to keep the money flowing in, but fear keeps me striving to make things happen faster. I have new respect for my former partner Mike. Many people criticized him for only publishing the magazine once a year, but I gotta tell you, it is probably one of the hardest, most creatively draining things I’ve ever done. Writing content, selling ads, putting together the layout and distribution all takes time and effort, and of course while I’m doing this, I am trying to take care of my personal needs as well: exercising, eating right and getting enough sleep, finding a way to pay the rent and the rest of the bills like car insurance. Then there’s trying to spend quality time with my boyfriend and my two sweet puppies (you can see pictures of them on Instagram). All this gives rise to perfectionism as I struggle to take care of it all. I know that there’s going to be mistakes; that’s just the nature of being human. But the constant self-criticism that comes up as I work towards delivering a finished product takes its toll emotionally, as well as physically and spiritually. I’m recovering from one of the worst bouts of flu I’ve ever had and I’m very aware that I brought this on myself by trying to do everything, and be perfect at it all. Maybe this mindset sounds familiar to some of you! I have a tendency to take on way too many projects. While things were dormant, it was so easy to keep my life balanced between work and play, but I’m finding myself slipping back into old workaholic patterns of control and perfectionism; Thankfully, I remember how awful that felt and how destructive that behavior can be. I’ve worked too hard to heal myself and I don’t intend to blow it all up simply because I’ve created this idea of what Gearhead has to be to be successful. So I’m stepping back, and surrendering. I thought I’d have this magazine done in a snap and out on newsstands by the end of May, but that’s not gonna happen. It’s gonna come out when it’s ready to come out! I’ve decided Gearhead is going to be a successful business once again, but not at the expense of my health and my sanity. Yes, I need your financial support if I am going to do this full time. But I also need to be realistic about how much I’m capable of doing in a day. As much as I’d like to be, I’m not Wonder Woman, even though I have the shoes! Which brings to me to asking for your help yet again. I’ll be running several fundraisers in the coming months. The money raised will go to paying the ongoing bills of running this business: paying rent and utilities, bringing back out of print products as well as paying my very small salary so I can take care of my personal expenses. There will also be a special Indieagogo fundraiser with the money going towards printing the magazine. I’ll talk more about all this in the May newsletter. But for now, I’ve put several items up for pre-sale (Punk Cross T-Shirt, Leadfoot Shirt), as well as restocked the much loved Spark Plug shirt. If you want to see these shirts come back into print, please go buy one for yourself or a friend! Back issues of the magazine are available again, so if you missed an issue or two, please pick one up. Of course the entire back catalog of cds and records are still available, as well as posters, stickers and patches. Many limited quantities of out of print items are only available in the EBay store, so if you haven’t visited that in a while, please go check it out. My struggles pale in comparison to what the people of Nepal are facing. In light of the disaster that recently struck Nepal, I would like to take this opportunity to make a difference, even if it’s just a little bit. I’ll be donating 10% of any sales that come in through the Gearhead Store from now through May 1, 2015 to AmeriCares, one of the top-rated relief charities that are vetted by Charity Navigator. You can read more about them here. Ok, things are getting a little heavy, so let’s lighten this conversation up! The Lords of Altamont have been touring like crazy (you lucky Europeans!) and both the CD and LP of their new record Lords Take Altamont are in the 2nd pressing. The vinyl is again a limited edition pressing of 500 copies (also with a free digital download coupon), but this time its Splatter Vinyl, a mix of yellow, red and black! It’s way cool, so make sure you go snag one today as these are selling fast. Our old pals The White Barons are back kicking ass and taking names with their new rocker Electric Revenge. Miss Eva Von Slut lends her wall-shaking vocals to 11 sing-along rockers on a limited edition vinyl only release, pressing of 500 copies with a free digital download. You can also pick this bad-boy up on ITunes, but the vinyl features some eye-popping cover art by Vince Ruarus. They even got the Dwarves' Blag Dahlia singing on a couple of tracks "Black Rider" and "You're Mine Tonight". This record totally rocks if I do say so myself. I’m so happy to be working with this band again! And finally, before I sign off, Please Save The Date! Sept 26, 2015 at the Blue Lamp in Sacramento, we will rock the house with the Gearhead Anniversary Party, celebrating my fifteen years with Gearhead. I’ll announce more details as we get the band line up finalized, but suffice it to say, it will be a night to remember. And it will officially mark the second official Gearfest held in the US! So those of you abroad, think about joining us. Make sure you’re following Gearhead on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. I’m constantly posting new pictures, contests and other tidbits of interest. It’s a nice way to stay in touch in between newsletters. If you’re getting this newsletter, you signed up for it, bought something from us, or contacted us in some way, or a friend signed you up. If you don’t want to get the newsletter anymore, just send a nice email with Unsubscribe in the subject line. Thanks to everyone for your continued support and enthusiasm. It makes doing this all worthwhile. Till next time, keep the rubber on the road! Xo Rev. Michelle We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring Will be to arrive where we started And know the place for the first time. –T.S. Eliot This quote from T.S. Eliot jumped out at me as I struggled to pull this newsletter together. It states so clearly what I’ve been feeling about reviving Gearhead®, but was having trouble putting into words. After fifteen years of ups and downs, feeling as if I were sitting in the front seat of a rickety old wooden roller coaster banking sharply to one side or the other and sometimes almost going off the rails, I have arrived back at the beginning. It’s all the same, yet it feels like I’m seeing it all for the first time. I’ve toyed with the idea of rebranding Gearhead® for the past year, and in my mind it totally made sense. My heart however had a different idea, and that disconnect kept things stalled out as I struggled to figure out what the best plan of action was. The more I explored the idea though, the more I realized it was exactly the right next action to take. So as 2015 picks up speed, I’m going for it. Lots of companies go through this rebranding process of reinventing themselves. Look at MacDonald’s using hip hop music to reach a new generation, or Apple, going from nearly bankrupt to Visionary by connecting with peoples’ desires for simple and beautiful technology. Changes are sometimes jarring to the fans who have supported the old guard, but when you give it a chance sometimes the changes are exactly what is needed to breathe fresh air and life into a company and make it fun and exciting again. Fifteen years ago, I joined forces with founder Mike, and together we created Gearhead Records. Mike had set the stage back in 1993, creating Gearhead Magazine and making some shirts to help spread the word about his new project. We became partners because we had a similar desire to add some cool shit to the exciting mix of music and clothing that was just starting to pick up steam in early 2000, and each of us had a valuable part to play in growing the company. We officially added Gearhead Magazine and Gearhead Apparel making these divisions an integral part of the business plan that already included Gearhead Records. But it also ended up making things a little confusing for Gearhead customers. Many didn’t realize all these separate brands were all actually different products from the same company! The redesign of the 22-year-old Gearhead brand has not been something I entered into lightly. The process of mulling over this decision forced me to ask deeper questions about who Gearhead is and what exactly this company, most notably the role of the magazine, should be in this age of Facebook blogs Twitter and Instagram where little is left to the imagination, and trends come and go with the blink of an eye. Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce Gearhead Headquarters., or for short Gearhead HQ Going forward, each division will no longer be referred by using records, apparel, or magazine. It will all just be Gearhead from here on out, all collected under the mother ship, Gearhead HQ. The changes are kicking off with the re-launch of Gearhead Magazine (now to be called just Gearhead!), with the long-awaited issue #19 due out Spring 2015. Despite the fact that founder Mike will no longer be involved, the original spirit of the magazine will still be there, focusing on the culture, the stories and people that drive the many faceted world of independent music, art and cars. Gearhead is a lifestyle brand built on images, words and sounds, of anticipating trends and pop culture years in advance of mass media. Gearhead has always been way ahead of the curve, balancing nostalgia and reverence for the past with current cultural trends. Now when you turn on the TV, there are shows about underground movements that Gearhead touched on years earlier. Punk Rock is now mainstream with companies like cellular giant T Mobile usurping the gritty raw punk n’ roll sound that many Gearhead bands championed. Lowbrow art and Kustom Kulture are now as much a part of the American pop experience as Pepsi and Burger King. The truth is that is exactly what Gearhead has always been good at, and why Gearhead is still relevant today: Someone has to find the cool shit first and share it with the world. Since taking a few years off to do some soul-searching and clutter clearing, there have literally been hundreds of companies laying claim to the Gearhead name. But due to Mike’s foresight, we were there first, creating the pathway for a lifestyle combining hot rods, rock ‘n roll and pop culture that you all supported and helped grow. The name Gearhead didn’t exist in popular culture the way it does now (check out the urban dictionary for a really jaw-dropping look at today’s use) but try explaining that to these newbies is like ramming a priceless t bucket into a brick wall. Better just to let it go and focus on what started the whole trip in the first place! As Thee Gearhead® brand emerges I am pleased to carry forward the tradition of shining the light in dingy clubs, dusty garages and pulling open closet doors to uncover the interesting and unique stories, music and pop culture from the past that hold relevance in today’s disconnected world. I feel incredibly lucky to still be here, guiding this company into the future. Who knows where it will go, but the one thing I DO know is it will be fun, interesting, challenging and exciting to navigate this new leg of the journey. Advertisers, you can grab some ad space at the original super-low rates from 2008, just for this issue. There is limited space available as the magazine undergoes this metamorphosis, so get in touch right away to reserve your spot. It’s a chance to be part of something big once again, right from the beginning. Its’ a super exciting time to be part of Gearhead, and I’m thrilled that you are all still along for the ride. There’s bound to be bumps along the way, but that’s part of what makes a road trip or a rollercoaster ride fun right? More than anything else, 22 years is a long time to be in business. I missed celebrating that, so with the my official 15 year anniversary upon us now, it’s time to rock and roll, and get things moving so we can continue to celebrate the rebirth of all parts of the Gearhead brand. Thanks for joining me on this new leg of our journey! Keepin’ the rubber on the road, Rev. Michelle Asking for help is not easy for me. I’m pretty stubborn and pretty resilient. I come from a mix of Austrian resolve and Sicilian grit, and when I put my mind to something, I go for it, no matter what obstacles are in front of me. But I’ve learned these past few years no one is an island. We need other people to help us and to support us if we are going to achieve our goals. Asking for help is a way of letting others support us. So here it is: I need your help: Please VOTE FOR GEARHEAD by Oct. 3! I’ve applied for a grant to fuel the return of Gearhead®, but in order to move onto the next round of competition, I have to get at least 250 votes by Oct. 3! Lots of people have expressed interest in helping Gearhead, and this is one of the best ways at this point in time. To vote you have to have a Facebook account (sorry, there’s no way to vote without a Facebook account). Then simply click on this link to place your vote for Gearhead. I’m close to getting the votes I need and your vote could push me over the hill. My deepest gratitude goes to those of you who have already voted and shared the link with your friends and family, and my thanks to you who vote today. You are all part of the rebirth of this company, and together, I’m excited to see where Gearhead can go. So please, VOTE FOR GEARHEAD NOW! With Gratitude, Rev. Michelle The smell of coffee permeates the room around me. It’s a cool morning, still summer, but there is a hint of dying leaves in the air; fall is just around the corner. I should be gratefully sipping that first cup of rich black liquid and relaxing into my day. Instead, my heart is pounding, my breath shallow. I feel like I might pop right out of my skin at any moment. Fear has gripped my soul with icy fingers.
“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face…you must do the thing you cannot do.” I flipped open a book while I was waiting for the coffee to brew, and that quote from Eleanor Roosevelt was the first thing I saw; suddenly it all made sense. I am terrified of moving forward. All the things I’ve been struggling with over the past few years: poverty, a crumbling business, broken dreams, authenticity, finding my true voice and passion and what the “grand purpose” of my life is, crush me like a 2 ton boulder, and I am paralyzed. I have been on a spiritual quest to find some answers and to learn why I was going through so much shit these last few years. I took my business, Gearhead® to a dead stop because clearly it wasn’t working as it was. The Gearhead® Brand looked like it would be another causality of the shattered economy, but there were other reasons for my company’s downturn. As I delved into healing my life, uncovering the many places where my actions didn’t match up with my intentions and making amends, I was willing to let it all go and start fresh and clean. But as you know, Gearhead® hung around, like some tarnished penny that kept turning up, begging me to pick it up. Which brings me to this moment in time, facing the fear head on that engulfs me. As I rebuild this business from the ground up, I am starting to get some answers as to why it didn’t go away, even though I tried like heck to dissolve it, or just bury it. If I had any idea of how hard it would be to start a business back up from a dead stop, I would never have tried. It’s a good thing I’m a glass half full sort of gal. I let optimism and hope lead me forward. I have struggled with how my loves for rock ‘n’ roll, pop culture and hot rods could serve any sort of a beneficial purpose to the world. I’m not a musician, I just know when I hear a piece of music that moves me in some way, I want to share that with everyone I know. I know almost nothing about cars except I have always enjoyed looking at them. I love the fact that mere mortals could create these amazing machines built from the elements of the earth. Ever since I built a model racecar in metal shop as a child I thought cars were neat! And pop culture? Well, that’s what has shaped who I am today. I’m not a trained businessperson. I have simply followed my gut and was a bit taken aback when that led to successes as quickly as it led to disasters. This whole rollercoaster ride with Gearhead is really about courage and confidence, and stopping to look fear in the face, moving past the fear, judgments and limits that always surround a dream. Gearhead has hung around waiting for me to stop being afraid of following my dreams. No other business out there is like Gearhead. It is a unique entity, born of steel, grease and grit and powered by the raw pulse of pounding drums and a burning passion in my belly that won’t be ignored. It has attracted brave souls who have followed their own inner urge to create something all their own. Gearhead essentially is a community of like-minded people, all following their own dreams and passions around the main themes of kustom culture and rock ‘n’ roll. As I wake up the slumbering shell of Gearhead, I must face my own biggest fear of doing the thing I think I cannot do, the thing those around me think I’m crazy for trying. Fear can stop you, or it can be a motivator, giving one the courage to go for it. My business coach Jim Kaspari summed it up perfectly: "fear is the lantern that lights our way to success." Gearhead Magazine has lain dormant since 2009, and as I start work on it again, the fear floods to the surface. “Maybe they’re right, I can’t do this, what am I thinking! It won’t be the same…” These thoughts fill my head and rattle around like old junk in the trunk. Starting up the publishing process has triggered these fears that once again led me to do some soul-searching. I realized Gearhead is simply the vehicle I’m driving right now as I learn the lessons of following one’s dreams. Gearhead Magazine will not be the same publication my former partner once envisioned. It can’t be because I am not he. But it can be something new, something that honors the past, but lives in the present. It can still be a place that like-minded people come together at. I’ve recently applied for a grant to help fund the rebirth of Gearhead. I need to get 250 votes by Oct. 3 in order to move onto the next round of the application process. Will you help? Click here to place your vote for Gearhead®! I thank you in advance for your support, and for sharing the dream. Passion and the intent to shine a light on the people who serve the world by following their dreams has always been the foundation of Gearhead, whether it was rock ‘n’ roll, cars or the culture around these industries. Are you one of those people? If so, Gearhead has a place for you as I get the magazine into production again for the long awaited issue #19. Take an ad out in the magazine, write a review of a favorite new record, book or movie you think our community should know about, or maybe even write a feature article. If you want to be involved in any of these ways, please email me today! Gearhead Apparel is being revived with some old classics like the Gearhead Logo shirt the Spark Plug shirt, or the classic Runnin’ On Fumes Iron On shirt, but we’re looking for new designs too, so if you always thought your artwork would make a great Gearhead shirt, send it over! Most of all, we need customers who can support Gearhead by buying the stuff we’re creating, and getting the word out the Gearhead brand is rolling again. Gearhead will have a booth at the upcoming car show Billetproof; here I’ll be selling Gearhead® goodies and talking to the folks who stop by. If you’re in the Bay Area, come check it out! And while you’re there, put your name into the raffle for a chance to win a Gearhead® Goodie Bag! I’m finally getting the You Tube channel crankin’ again too: the first video in 4 years, The Yolo County Demolition Derby, went live recently, and more videos are on the way! Become a subscriber to the channel! Facebook Twitter and Instagram have been a challenge for me to learn, but I think I’m getting the hang of it finally. New content is going up every day because I finally realized these forums are a place where community gathers. It’s been fun sharing pictures and information from the past and as I get more comfortable with the technology, there will be a lot more stuff coming! Please follow Gearhead and feel free to repost and share. I’ve realized much of what Gearhead is about is being an inspiration to those who struggle with facing fear themselves, and providing an avenue to do what they think they cannot do. DIY baby, just go for it. You’ll never know if you don’t try right? Shake Rattle and Roll. Till next time, be cool and keep the rubber on the road, Rev. Michelle |
